yes i do get sad too but i hardly ever get depressed and when i get sad it takes me a long time to get out of it.. usually i try to think of good things in life when i am sad or think how many other people are even 100 times less fortunate than me familywise, moneywise or healthwise and thank god for it and it helps.

I watch TV, watch movies just like now I'm watching a super romantic (kilig) movie A very Special LOve and I can't stop smiling. I eat what I like mostly from fastfoods and chocolates. I play or watch a child, just by doing that I get cheered up on how simple their life is. I read a novel, romantic novels so I can forget my depression, when I read I feel that I'm part of the story. That's how I get cheered up.

Yup, it's good to watch TV or movies when you're sad. It tends to take your mind off things. And fast food and chocolates are one of the best comfort foods. =)
It's also so true that by just watching a kid, it seems to erase all your worries away. They're so carefree and fun to watch.
I sometimes read a book, too.. but I need to make sure that the story is not a sad one. =)

Hello! In order to cheer up myself every now and then I drink a cup of tea or coffee. That really helps me removing the tensions of body and mind.thanx.

When I get sad I don't like to stay alone so I go to visit my friends or a family. I treat myself with chocolate or an ice-cream when I feel bad, it helps to cheer myself up! But it isn't often when I feel sad so I don't really have the problems with cheering myself up from time to time because it doesn't bother me that often.

Good for you, Lindery.. You probably have a positive outlook in life, that's why you seldom need cheering up =)
And yeah, I also agree that surrounding yourself with family and friends can lift up your spirits. And a chocolate or ice cream wouldn't hurt, either. =)

like now i feel so depressed and guilty about something. well i can do everything just to keep myself busy but praying is the one thing that really heals me easily. after saying the rosary, i just feel so relieved and proper thinking that everything happens for a reason and tomorrow will be another day.

Right now it is by reading a book. Sometimes I will go somewhere new, or I will go work out. Other times talk to my friends. Basically anything I enjoy doing that will take my mind off depressing thoughts
