new york raised it tobacco tax and now a pack goes for ten yup ten dollars a pack, and i said i'd quite at .75 cents a pack and that didn't happen but 10 bucks i think that will start smokers to seek a healthier way of life. 10 bucks i just can;t get over that price pot is cheaper, i think ;)

That's just crazy I'm glad I quit some 10 month ago. Packs are up to $5 in Vegas. When I smoked I smoked Generic Cig. you can get a pack for $2.50 still.

Ok, I live in NYC, the $10 is where you are and if you are in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, the Island, or Manhattan. Special cigs are up to over $10 a pack but not the normal ones and you can find deals, also if it is that bad for smokers, Jersey is always cheaper and close on the path train or the bus that goes there. Also just to let you know, those who smoke, still smoke, just spend less on other things. Ainge

10 bucks that a lot. We won't be far off 10 euro a pack over here the way things are going. We smokers are such suckers for paying so much for something that is killing us.

oh, bad news for smokers, but good news for non-smokers. i hope my government enact such regulations too. Then the health status of the whole nation will advance a lot.

Hey, I think its great. More federal revenue and more incentives for smokers to quit. It works well i think :D
