I try to get to know the family of my close friends, and I ask my friends about them, particularly their parents. I think it's a nice way of showing genuine interest in our friends; lives .. what do you guys think?

em...about me,I don't ask my friends about their parents or their family, even to my best friend.Because I think it's friends' privacy,so unless he/she would like to talk with me,or I won't ask him/her.Sometimes,my best friend will share with me when she was moved by her parent's deed or qurrelled with her sister. In fact,I'd like to share with her too,but I don't ask on my own initiative. Happy mylotting!~

yes sometimes i do...but i take care before asking them about their family. some people are orphans...some might have lost one of their parents or sibling. i don't wanna hurt them by reminding the bad times.
