My friend is getting married next week. He asked me to be the emcee on his reception. I am still thinking on what to answer. I’m a little bit nervous. I’m afraid the audience might get bored. Although, there will be a program but still I’m quite hesitant. I’v been a host in a Christmas party before. But being in a wedding reception I think that’s quite different. I don’t want to let my friend down so probably I will just give in to his request. How about you mylotters, Have you experienced being an emcee on an ccasion? How was it? What prepration have you done?

My first hosting of the wedding was last year during my friend's wedding. I was a bit nervous at first but I was guided by someone who's pretty well familiar with wedding hosting. I bet your hosting turned out well.

lol =D I have not been an emcee for any parties nor events, much more for a wedding?? hehe ^_^ It's gonna be so stressful because marriage is once in a life time thing, and that being the host of emcee, one must be able to deliver and make the whole wedding lively.. hehe ^_^ But since u have the experience of hosting, i guess this should not be a problem for u, as u are supposed to bring fun to the special occasion, except that it's slightly more demanding.. hehe ^_^

Hi red, I have been emcee for many weddings, I really don't know how many but in every case I have enjoyed it. I remember being nervous at the beginning but the only way to overcome that is to try it and the nervousness will disappear. I think you should accept the invitation. Blessings.

Goo for it, how bad can it be and youhave to admit the price is right for your friends. and if you do this with love and kindness it will turn out fine. After all the most memorable things that happen at a wedding are the things that go wrong, at wowrse you'll go down in history.

No I haven't yet ever since but in your place, nothing to be worried cause you've been hosting before so why not accept it...cheers
