Clementines

I was at Trader Joe's with my kids last night and they had free samples of Clementines. I peeled one up for my kids to share in the store. They both loved them and my son asked me to buy some. He said they were as sweet as candy. They came in a 5 pound box which I thought was a little much to get, but it was a decent price $6.99 for 5 pounds of fruit. I counted them when we got home. There were 32 of them. Since last night my kid have gone through 5 of them.
Have you ever heard of Clementines?
Do you like Clementines?
Aren't they so sweet?

I haven't had clementines in years but I do remember the taste, and it was very sweet. I am glad that your children liked them and the price is excellent. so many for such little money is amazing. a good way for them to eat fresh fruit. Blessings

Clementines are on the market here in Italy from mid November onwards as they are produced in the south. We also have them imported from Spain and Marocco but I prefer the Italian ones. I love them and really do get through a lotof them during the winter months.
Out of curiousity, did yours have leaves still attached to them, even only a few? That's a good way to tell that they were picked quite recently and did not come from some stock harvested some months ago and kept somewhere cool.

we get clementine oranges here in canada but unfortunately, they only come out at christmas time. we usually get a box for $3.99 and enjoy them until after the holidays are over. i think by that point we get a bit sick of them but are excited when they come out again in november.

5 pounds that is alot. I don't think my family could go through 5 pounds of clementines before they started to go bad. Yes I have heard of them. Yes I like clementines. Sweet is what makes them soooo good. GLad the kiddies enjoyed them.

yes we have clementines here in germany and very sweet specialy from spain.in germany they call it mandarinen
.the one kilo was .99 cents but this week its 1,99 euro per pack.in pack is one kilo.

Clementines are the best. I am not a citrus person. I really don't like oranges or grapefruits, or even tangeringes for the most part. I like sweet fruit as a rule. Clementines gave me a citrus fruit that I like! 
I actually think they are more on the pricy side of fruit. But I also think they are so worth it and am glad when they come back in season. I think you already realize how fast they'll get eaten up. There so sweet and what I appreciate just as much is how easy they are to peel. So the kids can just have at them.

I do love Clementines, although I don't buy them often. I don't see them around as much as I used to. My health food store is where a person would think they would have a wide selection of fruit, but they really don't. But now that you bring it up, I'm going to be on the look out for them.

Yeah, clementines are sold a lot here around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. I love them, but I do not buy them because they are usually sold in a quantity that is too much for me, my husband is not a fruit eater.
I usually get one or two if my mother buys them. they are perfect for children, because they are kid sized

I love clementines! It's not just the sweet taste... it's the fact that it's a quick and easy snack (that's healthy too). I can just pick one up and peel it by hand.
