How many of you miss him? Do you think he would win if he were to run in the next presidential election.

I remember him really well, and I did VOTE for him when he was running. I liked what he stood for. And Yes, I do agree he would not have been the Normal president. He would have been more for the people and getting things done here in the USA to improve us. I do agree also, I wonder how many people in here have never heard of him?

Honestly, there are probably people in his political party that are more qualified than he is. But, he was one of the few 3rd party candidates to actually get some air time. That's why he's so popular.

I don't think I was old enough to vote at the time... but I wanted my parents to vote for him.

LOL! I wonder how many folks on here are old enough to remember him? I think I might still have a Perot button around here somewhere. Honestly, he would probably lose again, because we all know image is everything, and he sure wasn't pretty. I really liked him though, and I think it would have been real nice to have a president who wasn't "business as usual" in DC.

My thought is, he wouldn't win but he would certainly make things interesting and may even take a state or two this time around. People are starting to get fed up with our government.

I agree. I don't think he would or could eve win. Just like Nader will never win. If half the states won't even put you on their balots you don't have a chance. But he would make the stupid commercials and debates more interesting.

I used to love H. Ross. Man, we really do need somebody like him again - to come on television and show us how to better our economy by using charts and graphs. And he spent his own money! That was the best part. Sadly, I doubt he would be able to get the support he needs unless he was nominated as the candidate for the Democrat or Republican parties. I can't see that happening. I truly wish we had at least one other viable choice, or just no parties at all.

You're right, third Party candidates never win. But, a strong third party candidate can really shape an election and force both the Democrats and Republicans to adjust their agendas to win all voters, not just the ones that would normally give them their support.
