Hello, Just want to know if you will rather buy what you need either your laptop, Air Conditioner, even Automibile via your credit card Cash or by Instalmental Payment which some refer to as Amortization? Which you pay monthly and if you cant pay its either you surrender or get it taken from you. With me due to my orientation I buy using Cash or CC what about you? and advice.

As I am living on pension, with no other income, I prefer to pay in cash. On rare occasions, say in travel overseas, I would use a visa linked credit card. I never buy in instalments.
Recently I learned from mylot users that smart use of cc can save money without notice. Good idea in this day of difficulty.

Well personally I will usually try and buy something first with Cash if I can as that is usually the cheapest way to go, but I have also been known to use my Credit Card to purchase different things as well. I do have a couple of different accounts that I have a certain amount coming out of them as well a month for things that I plan out as well. Personally it would be nice if I could one day become Debt Free but that day may still be a long way off as well.

If it is a very huge amount
.Then i will use my credit card.IF the amount can be paid in three months. Then i will pay in installments. If it is small amount i will pay it by cash.It is not good to take lots of cash outside as it is risk for our lives and money.

I only use cash. We pay our monthly bills through our checking account, but everything else we pay in cash. We don't have credit cards for the exact reason that...if we don't physically have the money, then we can't afford it! That way, we don't have any debt and we don't spend any money on frivilous stuff. Everyone is tempted (especially around the holidays) to charge things, and take advantage of "interest free financing", but we just avoid the temptation.

I would pay for an air conditioner and a laptop in cash, if I had it. With cash, you don't have to worry about fees or interest - which definitely adds up. The only problem with buying a laptop with cash is that laptops usually have tons and tons of "add ons" and features that cost more to add on to your computer - and you usually are also pursuaded to buy a warranty too, which is at least an extra hundred dollars or so. I think it would be super hard to predict how much you're going to spend when buying the computer, only because of these "hidden" & extra fees.
An automobile, unless it's a very cheap/used one, would be extra hard to buy in cash. You would have to have a lot of cash on hand, considering most cars are at least $10,000. (could you imagine carrying that kind of cash around?) Most people don't have this kind of cash at their disposal, though.

Yeah thas true, but in the case of autos a typical Nigerian will save up to have that kind of cash and buy straight off so nobody hunts him around for the rest of the money! I think those that sells computer did it that way so as to keep oming back, what we do is to but the whole software ones and inatall so we dont ave to keep going back every time to them, unless they have a free downloadable upgrades.
