hi mylotters! just like to ask what i could do to lessen the dryness and improve the skin condition of my mini schnauzers. is there anything i can give him like shampoo or vitamins that will help the dryness? he looks like he has dandruff. any of you have experienced this with your dogs even if they're not schnauzers? thanks!

Hi makeupbycher! I give my dogs an egg in their food a couple times a week and also put some olive oil, just a drizzle on it. If you eat bacon, put some bacon grease on their food. I have 2 adopted dogs and one of them had very flaky dry skin when I first got her. Now when people come to my home they always comment on how beautiful my dogs coats are. Give it a try and see if it helps. Good luck and happy mylotting!

My Chesapeake gets dry flaky skin in the winter every year, the best thing I have found to help is giving Flax Seed oil to him with his food, and buying dog food that's got Omega-3 fatty acids in it. They need the oils for their coats to stay shiny, and it really helps with his skin! Good luck with your dogs!!
