Haha! You must be kidding! These careers are both stepping stones! Enter politics then showbiz, enter showbiz then enter politics. But of course i will choose the easier path. I'll take showbiz first. This way i don't have to go to school and study economics or law. I'll just take culinary arts then that's it: hello politics!

Haha, stepping stones. I like that. Well, at least in the Philippines, that's almost always the case. They should add "must be a bonafide showbiz personality" in the qualifications for public officials. LOL

I would rather be a politician so that I can help a lot of people and defend them. It is better to be a politician because you will know the strengths and weakness of each law.

hello theresaaiza i do not know anything about being a politician, so i would enjoy being in the show business. i might be able to be a game show host or something like that. lol wouldn't that be fun? take off to work each day and head to the game show to tape a couple of shows a day, and then there is no telling what the rest of your day would be like. probably very busy. and i guess that a good politician would stay very busy also. lol wonder who stays the busiest? somebody in show business like that? or being a politician? lol it would probably be a close race. take care and have a beautiful evening.

Well, they both make you popular (showbiz and politics), and rich. But in politics, you can be accused of plunder. I'll stick to showbiz. LOL

I will not go for politics. It is a nasty world where people or ready to cut your throat.Money and money is their motive and they are not ready to serve the people. At least in showbiz,we can make people happy for the time being and earn as well for that.Cheers!

If I had only the two I would choose showbiz. Politics are dirty, took a poly sci class and my sister worked for a govenor, would not want to do it, you would have your live pryed open for the world to see.Every little thing, is checked.

The thing about politics, they have to go into every little detail of your past life before politics and your family is sometimes dragged into it too.I think show biz is a "little" more forgiving but in politics a person has to live a squeeky clean life pretty much from the start because the media will find out any thing that might start a scandal and dragging the family is a scandal not unheard of. The media are paid 2report any thing that is unfortunate and they do not care who it hurts as long as they get a story and ratings.

if i choose.i want to be a politician because i study politics and am frustrated being a lawyer.politics is very challenging careers in the world, not for power vested in you but to create laws. politician nowadays never consider their post as the main legal input to make their constituent free from grievances. how about you my friend what you choose?

Hi aerous, I see politics is your thing. Honestly, I hate politics so since we only choose between the two, I have nowhere else to go but showbiz. :-D You gotta admit, politics is dirty too.

Isn't politics and politicking also a form of showbiz at times ? So why not be a star politician ?

I would rather be in showbiz. At least I will only be thinking about improving my own career and increasing my popularity. Being in the world of politics is much more dificult and the controversies are more big-deal. Also, I think it is hard to maintain a clean image if you are a politician. Most of the time, people would accuse you of being corrupt even if you're really not.

Yeah, even if most showbiz personalities get accused of having video and photo scandals, and rumored boyfriend/girlfriend, or involved in money scam, or being big-headed, or being "pasaway", or having Thank-you-doc boob, chin, lipo jobs......they don't go to prison for it. Yup, I'd rather be in showbiz too.

first of all i would never opt for either. But still if i had to choose i would choose a politician cause politics is one big drama where the politicians are the biggest actors and the country they rule is the stage...!!!.Also the fact remains that if you become a great leader, then thy will make a movie about you...!!! Also in many countries actors turn to politicians in their middle ages...!!1

These are two horrible careers to choose from. Certainly, both careers are very powerful ones, where you persuade the people under you of certain things; although sometimes dishonestly at that. I guess I would have to choose to be a politician. Although a lot of them are horribly dishonest and make false promises, at least I could inspire some kind of a change instead of just caring about show-ratings and other unimportant Hollywood things like that. At least if you were a politician, you'd have a chance to make a difference in the political world.
