Recession: Time to upgrade

Singapore government has been urging companies to send staff for training, instead of retrenching them. Many Singaporeans who are retrenched take the opportunities to enrol in degree courses, many are opting for Master of Business Administration. The government provides subsidies for skill upgrading, and nearly everyday sends out "upgrade, upgrade, upgrade" messages through the media. Any of you considering spending money on further education in view of the recession?
