Hello everyone, This is probably a stupid newbie question. I'd just like to know how you people got those stars beside your names? I've noticed that some members has it and with different colors too. What's the meaning of the star and it's color? What should I do to have one?

Flo, You need to complete 100 post, before you could be allotted a star, against your name. You are just short of 16 for that........so quickly go for that........LOL! And I believe that no question is a stupid question, if one does have any doubt about something, she/he should be free to start a discussion. Once you get a star, it will reflect your overall rating on the scale of 100. The colour of star changes afer every 10 marks. Suppose, you get a red star your ratings would be between 85 to 95, out of 100 and when you will take the cursor to your star, it will show like it -87/100. Blue star is the highest star, which is awarded to a fellow having a reputation of more than 95/100. Best of luck and best wishes.

Hi there dpk262006, Wow thank you for that detailed explanation. That answered my question. My first aim would be to get that star and I would build a good reputation. I wish to have a blue star.LOL I don't think it's impossible. Others have done it he he. You've got a red star, that's 85 to 95. Not bad. Keep it up! :)

you'd get your stars when you hit your 100th post. The colours and numbers on it means how good your posts are. It's given from how fellow mylotters rate your discussions and responses. The ideal is the blue 10.

Hi regal_aeros, Thank you for taking time to answer. I've noticed you've got a red 9 star and you've made 1217 posts. I guess, it would be much longer before I'll have a red star. Much as I like to be active here at myLot, I've much to do offline. But I'm doing my best to start discussions and posts reply here as much as I can.

Don't be overwhelmed by the number of posts i have. And also, it doesn't mean that you are not able to get a RED or BLUE star with 100 posts. If ALL your posts are consistently of quality and fellow mylotters are rating you positively, you will earn your Red star even with as little as 100 posts.

Once you've posted 100 posts, you'll get a star. The grade of your star will depeond the quality of your posts. I'm not even sure I undetstand that statment, but I know that your number will depend on your posts. That's what I was told one time.

Hi CRSunrise. Thank you for responding. I now have and idea. I'm kind of motivated to post more and be active everyday. I want to have a star too. And I agree, I would really depend on the quality of your posts. That's what all the member say.
