Jesus said in Matthews 19:24 "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God"
For years, I wonder how blur Jesus can be. How can a big fat camel pass through the eye of a needle? And he even said that it is easier for camel to do so.
It turns out that the "eye of a needle" doesn't mean a sewing needle. It was actually a gate that the camel needed to pass through to enter the old city of Jerusalem. Merchants would enter the gate when bringing their goods into the city. The camel was used to carry the goods. However, the gate was so small that the camel had to get on their knees in order to squeeze through.
So glad to find the truth. Guess the rich man will have to squeeze even harder to get into kingdom of God. Probably after the rich man goes on liquid diet for a few months, he will find it easier.

but for the baggages they bring. Some of them don't want to leave their luxurious lifestyle. They can't even talk about Christ and God in their circles for fear of being labeled as fanatics and get ostracized. They maybe well known for giving donations but still, some of them are just giving their "extra" wealth.
I am glad I am poor.

I prefer to be rich than poor. The rich has the means to help more people. Admire those rich people who do not love money. People like Sam Walton, Warren Buffet gotten rich because they love their work. They didn't get rich because they love and hoard money. Admire those rich people who are humble, kind and willing to help. Hate those stupid bankers who are rich and greedy. God has his means of punishing them.

Very well said. The sin is not in being wealthy, but rather what you do with your wealth and whether you put that wealth above God. We must never forget from whom all blessings flow.

Well and good if you are rich but you still put God above all. But there's a very good reason why the Bible said "blessed are the poor" and for always putting a warning every time richness is talked about.
Take a look:
David was very rich. Nevertheless, he's more known as the one who slain Goliath.
King Solomon is much richer than his father David, but he is better known for his incredible wisdom.
Job, before his sickness is one of the richest during his time. But his suffering is and how he stayed faithful to God is how he will always be told.
There are many personalities in the Bible who are good models of being rich and yet Godly. Many rich man today are following their footsteps. But as for me, I don't know if I can handle richness, it might drown me. That why I will still stay, I'm glad I am poor.
