What is the lessen kids are learning from Michael Phelps' story and others when a star apologizes but still is bashed?Michael did a stupid thing and soon apologized but is still being hounded by some.He lost Kelloggs which seems to be a proper punishment but why can't the press stop hounding him? Me, when I was a child I never apologized to gt out of punishment. Either I really was sorry for what I did and I said it but if I weren't, I didn't apologized. I was just wondering what this says to kids.On one hand, never apologize and on the other never get caught doing anything wrong or you will Never be trully forgiven.Parents help me out. what are your kids getting from this Phelps stor

I do see your point clearly and you are right,
but on the flip side, just apologizing may make a kid think I can do anything I want as long as I apologize,
with the media this has nothing to do with kids it is just about ratings and money and all that sh$t

Thank G-d I am not a parent. But then again, I assume I would teach a child what I was taught. You Must tell the truth at all times, except the little lies you tell to keep gifts a secret during Christmas and Hanukkah. And by being truthful, you Never apologize unless you Really mean it. It isn't a get out jail free card.
