Have you had success in weight loss??

Have you lost weight and kept it off? What did you do to succeed? Did you learn while losing the weight. Please share your story with us fellow mylotters :) Thanks in advance for your responses.

I used to be so obese but I was able to lose weight but not in easy way but I can say in a fun way. What I did was I consider exercise time as my play time. I don't exercise as something strenuous. I think of it as something fun. When I plan my meal, I don't include foods that I don't like. I only eat organic foods and I forced myself to hate foods with MSG and preservatives (anything that is unnatural). I exercise at least 30 minutes of cardio (aerobics) exercise a day and I drink 10 glasses of water per day. I don't starve myself when I am dieting. I actually eat 5-6 times per day, but the food that I eat is in small proportion. I completely omit white rice and other processed carbs from my diet. I get my carbohydrates from the vegetables and fruits that I eat. I admit, it was not easy at first but whenever I see the results in the mirror I am motivated to do much better in taking care of my body. I don't think that I am dieting because I just want to look good. I am dieting because I want to restore my health. Another thing, before I started dieting i used to smoke and drink a lot. I am still smoking and drinking right now but I am limiting it unlike before that I don't give a heck if I passed out smoking and drinking. It is also important to have at least 8 hours of sleep so will have enough energy when you exercise the following day. Study also shows that people who are having less sleep will have a slower metabolism. Some people who lack sleep actually compensate their lack of sleep with food (like my sister). LOL! It is also good to take vitamins especially vitamin B because it helps you to become more active. If you are more active, you burn more calories and fats in your body. So far those are the things that I follow to keep myself healthy and looking good. Lastly, I use online group support so I could keep it up.
