For all Indians, do you believe in God, whom do you serve?

I am gathering some information here. Do you believe in God? I really want to know if you serve the same God that I serve. Can you hold grudge in your heart for others? If you had a business and you had customers and your customer owed you money. Would you hold their personal items for the money that they owed you? I mean these customers have been behind on paying you, but they always seem to catch up. You work with them no matter what. But, now they owe you some money. It is $200.00. Will you hold their clothing that they need away from them. They have private and personal items on your property that they want. If they have asked you to let them get their things, will you refuse them? Why would Indians do this? It is very sad. The things that the customer is asking for is things that they need and can in no way do without. They have kids and you have kids.. Can Indians live with themselves if they were to do this to someone else?

First of all, who do you mean when you say Indians? Just wondering because I'm called a Indian but I'm Native American, we are also called Indians too as well as people from India are. I have to be real careful when I say something about Indians, because I'm talking about Native Americans, not India people...haha. I don't think its right that they wouldn't let you get your things out, but if you owe them money they can do what they want, just the same as when you rent a storage place, if you get behind on your payments, they can lock your storage up and not let you have your things out of it, they can also sell your things if they want. I see sales all the time at storage buildings.

But here in the state of South Carolina and The United States, they are breaking the law. Here, they have no right to hold anothers personal property from them due to a debt. That is what law enforcement has told us. They may can do that in India, but not here in the United States.. They resemble Indians. They are the lighter complexion Indians.. I am not sure what heritage.. But they are Indians..

I don't know what to tell you, here in Oklahoma the laws are different, the property owners are allowed to do what they want, if you owe them money for something or for services and if you don't pay up, they can keep your property, and sell it to get their money back if they want. I hope you can get it resolved, it doesn't sound right to me either.

I feel so very sorry for all of Oklahoma residents.. No offense to you.. I think that it would be disgusting to keep private items from someone.. If they need their underwear, why withhold that from them.. And if they sell it, who wants to put their hands on dirty clothing. I would not want to touch anyones private things.. And as far as selling, it would be a crime to do that, if you think about it.. What if the person has information on it that has their identity and social security number on it. That means that this information can get into the wrong hands and this could mess the other person up. Why would someone want money so bad that they are willing to allow bad things to happen to another.. God will not be pleased with that.. Money is the root of all evil, the Bible could not have said it any better!

I think you have some issues with some persons, presumably online merchants, who are incidentally Indians in your case, and it sounds painful for me. I'm also pleased to inform you that the majority of Indians believe in God in the sense you believe.

I really could not make out your point at the first instance. Now it is clear and I really feel glad that you have a better experience. I understand the trouble you must have faced while staying in a motel instead of your own apartment. But at the same time I highly appreciate your attitude towards life on a broader perspective. You have to undergo so many changes during this short tenure, may be within a year or so. And finally, you are fighting out against all odds. I wish you come across your difficulties at the earliest. May God bless you!

Thank you. I was just hurt by what the Indians at the motel did to me. It really made me feel like all of them were alike.. But, I had to really let God come in and give me a peace of mind, so that I will not carry any hate in my heart. Till this day, I am not happy about what they did to us, but I realize that God will have to deal with them one on one... I just pray that they can become better people.. I have seen their good side, so I know that they have it in them.. It just has to come out.. I feel that for them to do what they did to us was very sad.. I could not live with myself if I had to mistreat another so cruel as they have..

Yes, there are Indians that believe in God. I know that. I am sure that there are decent and caring Indians in this world. I am half Indian myself, and my grandmother's mom is Indian, and she has many family members that dress just like Indians from India. It saddens my heart to know that people in general of any race can be so inconsiderate of another person. My heart is too sweet to just hold grudges. At first I may be pissed, but after a while, I will come to my senses and realize that there is more to life than holding a grudge and thinking of what you want. I am very sorry that I am in this situation. But, it will not allow me to look down on any Indians. In fact, we are at another motel, and there are Indians that manage this motel.. They are not perfect, but they show more respect than the other Indians from the other motel. The wife says thank you.. And they make sure that they send room service to our room everyday.. As a matter of fact once again, they get to our room first for the ones that are staying over and paying. At the other motel this type of service was hardly present. They also give receipts when you pay them. The other motel never did that. So, I am grateful that God allowed us to stay somewhere else, and be treated just a little better, by the same type of people, but just with different names and attitudes.

I am of a mixed race. I am African American mixed with Indian. I have Indians in my family... The Indians in my family look just like the hotel managers.. I was very displeased with their behavior.. But that is a whole different story.. I am no where prejudice.. I feel that the Indians at the motel could be prejudice in a way that is very immature..

I really don't get what this has to do with belief in God. And I also don't get what it has to do with Indians. This is a specific situation that has nothing to do with religion or race.

Yes, it does, re read my discussion. It has everything to do with God.. If you are of God, Indian or no Indian, how could you do something like this to another person.......

The only one that is jumping to conclusions is you. Please get your story right before responding to my discussion.. And I just said this in the most polite way that one can understand. I repeat, I am saying it in the most polite way.

All people of God are sinful. If you want people to respect you, you should first try showing them a little respect by not jumping to conclusions about their race or faith, two very discriminating things to do. How could someone of God do that? Take the plank out of your own eye before pointing out the speck in your brothers.

I do not understand why you are specifically targeting Indians for this question. First I checked up on who you are, in the sense from where you are so that I could get a hang ofd your question. First I will answer your questions. I am an Indian living in India. I have no idea of ever migrating to any other place. I have always loved my country, and therefore will continue live here. Obviously if you are talking this way you must be talking of Indians settled in US(I checked up that you are from US before attempting to answer this question. I believe in God. Not just that, I believe only in God. I only trust hummans. Trust that, that humans would in general be motivated to do good. There could be only one way the trust could get converted to belief. That is by long standing experience. Till then it is trust in humans and prayer to God. Since I believe in God, and His justice, I hold NO GRUDGE.I leave it to God to take care of anyone who lets me down, on anything. When I give money to someone, which is very rare not because that I do not want to give, but because I generally do not have "more" with me to give. There are more occasions that I borrow. When I do borrow I make it a point to return the money, as promptly as possible. If I do get late I inform them and seek their permission. As a Hindu I believe in Karma so I do not want to leave unfinished Karma, the most important of them would be to return borrowed money. In those rare occasions when I had lent money either i have got it back pften asking once or twice or if the amount is forgettable if paople don't give me back I will let them off, but remember not to lend ever to that person. But of course I do know that I do not have much to lend. This behavior is peculiar. Whenever I had lent I had never kept anything from the person as a "hold". The behavior you are suggesting is seen in the money-lender community in India. May be the Indians you are talking about belong to this community. Whatever it is it is sad.Indian Money-lender community notoriously like the Jew portrayred in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice. They may extract literally their pound of flesh like Shylock, but hey will do something equivalent.

I appreciate how you are. May God Bless you for your honesty. You may very well be talking about an money lender. The managers look like like Indians.. They are in the United States mananging many motels. They are the owners of it. They also are with gas stations too. It is sad to see people who don't care about another person. May God have mercy on their soul.. That is all that I can say..

There are quite a few spelling mistakes and missed words in my previous post, but because I could not check it before posting they have just slipped through. I am sorry for that. I hope you have understood the message. In your reply to my post you have given me the details of the people you are talking about and now my answer snugly fits the descriptions I have posted in my previous one.The people you are referring to are a prosperous community in India, perhaps most of their prosperity is gotten this way, by extracting the last drop of blood from someone in an emergency situation. I am with you in your "feeling" for this sort of people. I pray God first that these people should get the "feel" of God (even though they do not deserve it straight away), but because when God gives them a glimpse of the truth of life along with a view of Him even undeservedly, there is possibilty of change. I am with you all through. May God give you the strength to weather through any of the difficulties that you have fallen into. May the Grace of God be upon you, so that you extract yourself admirably soonest from this situation and come out stronger and self-sufficient from this situation. May this happen soonest! As a side-kick don't you see a similarity to the Credit Card companies with this?

Yes, there are good Indians, but I just ran across ones that are not disciplined. I am sorry that you had to hear this, but this is what happened.. We all just have to be mindful with whom we become involived with..
