The Case Of The Missing Post?

February 9, 2009 5:19pm CST
I have a mystery for you, can you help me solve it? Just before writing this, the total number of posts next to my name was 40 now (at the time of writing this) I only have 39 posts next to my name. Where did my extra post go? Does mylot delete posts without telling you. Since I'm new here I don't really know what could have happened. I am pretty certain I have not written anything objectionable that would have been deleted and if I had, I thought I would have got a pm from mylot explaining why. Can you help me solve the mystery?

It is possible that it wasn't what you wrote that was objectionable, but rather the total discussion violated some obscure guideline or other and was deleted. You have to be careful what kind of discussions you respond to. When someone reports a discussion as inappropriate, the whole thing gets deleted and everyone who responded loses points and pennies.

I'm so going to be careful about which discussions I respond to. At the time of responding to the troll I was wondering why more experienced mylotters weren't posting to tell him off...now I know why. Thanks for the help.

Hello imaginearea! It happened to most of us here. The only explanation I can say is that maybe you responded to a discussion which has been deleted in mylot because of some violations and because it has been deleted, probably, your posts will vanish too..
