I saw some youtube videos discriminating a poor Filipina cc agent with her grammar. Every mistake are commented like making fun of her. I was obvious that the customer is a Filipino pretending to be American with an accent. I don't know why some pinoys make fun of grammar and pronounciation errors of his fellowmen when we need to understand that it's not our native language. Some Fil-Ams think they are better coz they grew abroad. Even the tounge-twisted 'bisaya' could be a good English conversationalist if he grew there in the first place. What are these proud Fil-Ams trying to prove?

Well, I'm not a cc agent as well but having a good command of the English grammar is a very sensitive issue in my line of work. People don't actually discriminate people who is "grammatically-challenged". We just want to imply that if you're going to do something (re in Filipino: gagaya rin lang naman) then do it as correctly as possible. If you can't do it, then at least try to acknowledge to mistake when presented and treat it as constructive critism. The problem with most Filipinos is that when it comes to criticism, we tend to over-react and feel that those who criticize wants to bring us down and we start shouting "crab-mentality", discrimination, arrogance. etc. And if you are already aware that you can't speak or write in correct English grammar (or any foreign language, for that matter), then you might as well use our own language which is, FYI, a very beautiful and colorful language.

I'm so sad about this why there some other people making fun of us if we don't speak English very well. I'm not working in a call center because why English is not good. I hope that they would understand our situation that English is not our first language so it is difficult for us to perfectly speak it. Discrimination is always been there, some customers are so airy because they can speak english very well.

It is wrong to discriminate people with wrong grammar. But when we talk about it in the call center industry, it is very crucial to have perfect grammar and accent. I guess the reason for this is because there are some American customers who prefer talking to American representatives than foreign ones. There are even those who would actually discriminate you when they hear that you have a foreign accent.
