I want to know from others point of view why God created the whole universe and everything living on it. Are we for His entertainment only or we have a special purpose in life?

If you believe in God, then the pupose of His having created you is to show you a way to get back to Him. In order to give some exercise to your kids have you not played games with them like telling them, "Look, you go and touch the tree you see there and come back to me, and when they came back gleeefully you might have rewarded them or said some kind words. What would have satisfied you would have been that they have built their health, they have learnt to take trouble to get a reward. What was their interest? They wanted to please their parent and show off to them how good they are. But the secret of their glee was they are "returning" to their father! And that after making a glorious performance!"
It is the same with God. He has given you the playing field- your plane of existence called the Earth, and the greatest excitement is in getting back to Him!

Hi gadhisunu! Thanks for your reply. I am a Christian and thoughts of our existence comes to my mind. I have a question. Why would God have to send us to earth and then get back to Him? Is earth our training camp or something?

Thanks gadhisunu! I like your explanation. I think the Garden of Eden has many suspected location up to now and one is in heaven. Sorry but I think the earth was created first and before man to dwell on it. Because Adam has sinned, all generations need to find the way to get back to Him. Does it mean every new born babies carries an original sin?

Now you have come to the trickiest question. Should we suffer for the Original Sin? But as I have always been telling this is to be taken symbolically. What is termed as Original Sin, is termed so because it(Eating the Forbidden Fruit) is a violation of God's commandment. Sine Our forefather Adam came down, to Earth his descndants have multiplied here.We rae on Earth consequentially. Therefore it would 'seem' we are partaking of the original sin. That is all!

How I wish I know so I can answer you. But if I will ever know the answer to this, I will no longer be the human but the creator.
At first, I would like to answer your question with another question. Why do you think we love to have a child? What's our purpose of pro-creating them? Your answers might be as good as all the other parents in the world, but then again, though man is created in the image an in the likeness of God, human is still human and God is God.
I am glad though that there are questions such as this that remains unanswered throughout the years. I guess, we will never know the answer while we are still here. These questions make us realize our limitations. To some, these draw them closer to their Creator. I wish to know all the answers too, and for this reason, I will keep on asking God to keep me on his arms.

You have a nice point there about why do we want to have a child. God wants to have children in his own image who has the ability to know Him as the Father. We humans wants to have many children as long as we can look after them, maybe same with God who is almighty to have as many children in all generations.

^_^ Mabuhay ka!.... stevelvis!....
I think that is our real purpose in life and that's our life time struggle to see, quest and searching for answers of why we are existing and what is our real purposes and our real missions and our real values of our life. Know first the truth of Lord God's wisdom and His righteousness, and then we can find the truth of all the knowledge we want to have.
^_^ God Bless as all!.... Peace!.... Salamat!.... and Enjoy!.... myLot!....
