Lets say you take a picture of Tylenol and you do a review on it and publish the review and the picture to the web would that be a copyright violation? I am curious to hear all your answers.

I think if you just use the image, it's not copyright but if you use the image for the purpose of earning money, than it is copyright. I really don't know though to be honest and my message here is more about ethics than the law.

Hi moneymommy. It is not a copyright violation, it is called fair use. A lot of companies have stock photos that you can use. If you review anything it benifits the product or company.

Right I think it would benefit the product with free exposure. So would I be able to take a picture of a bottle of Tylenol or another product and be ok?

Yes it would be ok to do that, I have done it many times on my blogs, it is fair use of the product and totally legal.

Hello, i think there is nothing wrong about it. If you make your on review and publish it on your or other web. I think it still consider your original content, your opinion on review about it. You can take picture from every source and publish it with your review. In other case, if the picture have signature of the owner then you need to get permission from it.

Thats what I thought. As long as your taking a picture of something it should be alright.

hello moneymommy i would guess that in my opinion of the matter that it would depend on what source that the photograph of the Tylenol came from. like i think that it would be ok to put a photograph of the Tylenol like that say like from the online encyclopedia. (i know that i didn't spell that correctly), a source like that i do think that it is ok to use since that source is a public source of information, right? lol but anyways, if i was going to upload a picture of Tylenol like that or any other thing, that is where that i would go to, to get my source for the photograph that i wanted to upload. take care and have a beautiful evening.
