Valentine's gift for 2 dollars

Valentine's day is around the corner and my pockets are still not well. I am planning to buy a gift for my girlfriend. The challenge I have is that I can only afford a gift of not more than 2 dollars. What is it that 2 dollars can buy for someone I love. Something that will make her happy, but not a card or foodstuff. Are you guys doing fine this Valentines?

Something personal, a gift which shows you listen to everything the person says. Try to avoid cliches like flowers and chocolates. Go straight for the heart. My nickname that my partner always refers to me as is wombat, so she ended up giving me a fluffy wombat with a ribbon for valentines day

I don't think there is a better suggestion than that of my friend above. A red rose is a solid statement of love, and perhaps a small chocolate to go with it (if money allow that, i don't know the prices in your part of the world).

Just buy her a rose, even a single rose can make a massive statement. Why have you got a budget of only two dollars? If you know that you are going to come into a windfall after Valentines Day (i.e finally getting paid by work etc) and I.O.U may be the way to go too. For example you could make a bunch of them saying things like "I owe you, one massage" or (if you are getting money) something like "I owe you, one romantic dinner". Remember it is always the thought that counts :)
