As a wife some wife will confess that they are not be appreciate and encouragement, but as the good proverbs says, we are like plants in springtime that are ready to blossom when they receive some warmth and moisture. In our case we need the warmth of commendation. It helps for a wife to know that her husband appreciate her hard work and loving care and that he does not take her for granted. It is also pleasant when a wife commends her husband for his work outside and inside the home. Children too blossom when their parents praise them for their efforts at home, at school. A little gratitude goes a far way, and it will make a difference in the home and it will make relationship better.

Yes I agree with what you have said.A wife sometimes have to teach the husband what she needs because men dosent know what appreciation means to a woman. It sounds akward but initially my husband was like that and one day I had to tell him what I expected when I slog for the house. And since then both of us are happy.

What will you do then if your husband seems so insensitive...?

I agree with that 100%! We were just talking about this last night in our family meeting (we're a family of seven), and it was surprising how the discussion seemed to revolve around me. My fiance kept saying that I need to be appreciated more because I work a lot of hours, and all the work in the household can't be put on my shoulders. It felt so great to hear that! He felt like everyone was taking advantage of me, so he ended the meeting with all five kids hugging me and telling me they appreciate me. I thought I was going to cry - I was bursting with gratitude. I had no idea any of that would be covered in the meeting and, to know he saw me struggling with so much really meant a lot.

Wow! I completely agree with you - a little gratitude goes so far! It makes such a difference when my husband thanks me for dinner or for keeping his clothes clean. It makes me feel like I've truly accomplished something because I've helped someone I love and care for.
