Well, over the yrs. I have sometimes wished my husband and I did have the finances in order to open up a restaurant, but at the same time I would want to keep it like a small family diner with maybe only a couple of items for a selection each day. I know I hate going to places and paying for a meal to be quite disappointed with it, and would hope if I ever had a restaurant people would not feel that same way as well.

Yeah actually I thought about doing that. I love to cook and I can make just about anything except for dessert. I want to do something that's different yet essentially familiar and most of all accessible to everybody's budget. Nothing fancy really but it has to be unique and really different. I just don't have the guts to borrow capital and take the time off my day job to actually take off and build the business plan. But I'm definitely thinking of putting up my own restaurant. Perhaps in the next 10 years or so... hmn... lol!

^_^ Howdy!.... vanities!.... hmmmm nice Deliciouso discussion.... slurrrrp!.... If I gonna established a resto I still cater mostly local cuisines first. Philippine cuisines. Then when success comes around well it will be great to established other fine dining resto with other famous cuisines. But I don't like to mixed all cuisines in just one establishment. I mean Philippine-Philippine cuisines, Thai-Thai cuisines, Indian-Indian cuisines and so on. ^_^ Thanks!.... and Enjoy!.... myLot!....

My son in law has talked about that....opening a fine dining restuarant as both he and my daughter are outstanding cooks....for me though...that would be the last thing I would do...it's such a hard thing to build up business with so many restaurants around...and it's a big committment if you are going to be successful..you truly have to give up a big chunk of your life.

Hello vanities, My mother and sisters are very good at cooking. Once, I did think of opening a restaurant so that we can run it as a family business. All of them are good at local delicacies. Sometimes, I do feel bad if I don't really learn all the secrets to be a good cook like the rest of the family.
