Katherine Heighl and TR Knight: Out of Grey's Anatomy soon

I just read an article on Reuters.com that Katherine Heighl who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens and TR Knight who plays Dr. George O'Malley will soon be exiting ABC's Grey's Anatomy. ABC is not commenting at this time but James Pickens Jr. who plays Dr. Webber (the chief) said that it's true, both of them are going soon. It's sad 'cause I love those two characters even lately I don't kinda like the story line of Grey's and it seems George is not getting too much exposure on the show compared to the other characters and Izzie's character is a little messed up with Denny being around, glad that it's now over. What's your reaction to this, guys?

george has been all but off the show this season anyways, so i don't really mind so much. I like the Izzy character, but i don't think the show will be hurt by her departure. As long as Christina stays I am happy!

Yeah, I'm not seeing George much lately. Christina's character is funny but I hate her selfishness sometimes.

I would have to agree with that. With all the characters, I think Christina's the most realistic.

I hate her selfishness too, but I think it is part of what makes her character realistic to me. She is selfish and very goal oriented, but comes through when it is important and that is how a lot of real people are

Yes George has not been much of a character lately. Also, I think they completely screwed up Izzie with the whole Denny coming back as a ghost thing. One episode might have been O'K but they just carried it to far. It was almost as if they wanted to make Heigl's character unpopular either because they wanted her to leave or because she wanted to leave and they wanted to make it more acceptable to the audience. The show also seems to be floundering in many other ways, too.

I haven't met anyone who likes the Denny thing. Well, I don't know what the writers' reason why they carried it that far but it's not really looking good, not good for Izzie's character and not good for the show. It would be better if they hadn't killed Denny in the first place. I agree, the show's got a little bit uninteresting lately.

In all honesty, I don't really watch the show. It doesn't really surprise me, though. I think Knight just might be tired of the show and might want to go back to theater. Heighl's probably looking for film work...

I don't know that TR Knight used to do theater, but whatever career path he chooses, I wanna wish him success 'cause I think he's a good person and Katherine Heigl already proved her sparks in movies, like Knocked Up and 27 Dresses.
