Who has signed the online petition against the new stimulus bill?

I just found the online petition tonight. I think the stimulus package is a bad idea, so I signed the petition as soon as I found it. Has anyone else signed it yet? If not, please do. I hope it isn't too late!

Online petitions are nice and all but what works best is actually calling your representatives and talking to them. Faxing works nicely too. In my experience emails are ignored or you just get a form letter back.
Call and if your rep is not available leave a message. Let them know politely what you think about the bill and why. Then leave your contact information. They may not call you back....but they do listen to their messages. It really does not take too long. This is really important.

This is a great point. I'm glad you said that. My representative and senator are both against the stimulus package. They both voted against the bailout package as well. I plan on writing them to thank them for their service and to encourage them to continue their wise voting. However, I don't need to call them immediately for this issue. I'm sure the petitions aren't worth as much as a phone call or letter, but hopefully, Congress at least takes a look at them.
