Do you hide the gender and the location information on your profile?

To show the gender and the city on profile by set up the preferences. To set up gender are on the tab "account information", if not set will not appear on the profile. Meanwhile, to display the location is located on the tab "customize your profile", by checked "Allow visitors to view my city and/or state on my profile page". When want to know who responded to discussion, sometimes on the profile there is no information about the gender, so do not know whether man or woman who respond. Or when will add as a friend, if the name does not reflect the gender, will be difficult to find out. I do not hide information about the gender and the location, because there are not those that must be hidden. Do you hide the gender and the location? If hide or not, why?
