When showering, do you use conditioner?

Hello fellow myLotters, I'm back again with another question. When you shower, do you use conditioner along with shampoo, or without? I prefer not using conditioner because it makes my hair a bit sticky afterward and it's very difficult to arrange my hair when it's refusing to be put into the right shape and causes me all kinds of frustrations. So I tend to not use conditioner when I wash my hair, just use my shampoo. What about you? Thanks for reading, and happy myLotting!

I usually use conditioner, well use to cause I want my hair to not be dry, but i recently heard from my girl whom has very long very nice hair that conditioner is actually not good for your hair. And well I look at her hair and i have to believe her, cause her hair is really nice. So I stopped using conditioner. I shampoo twice. Shampoo, rinse, repeat.

I never heard that conditioner wasn't good for you before, but that's pretty interesting to hear. I usually only wash my hair once, cause it gets too dry if I wash it twice. Thanks for your response!

Hi, I use conditioner when I shampoo my hair, as it tends to get tangled during the washing. The conditioner helps to smooth out the tangles, makes it easier for me to comb my hair.

Yeah I used to use conditioner for the same reason, because when I had longer hair my hair would tangle up easier. But since I cut my hair short I've stopped using conditioner, because it just gets in the way of me drying my hair. Thanks for your response!

I'm not really familiar about haircare but what I know is we need to us shampoo everyday and conditioner 3x a week.

Only three times a week? Lots of people use conditioner whenever they shampoo their hair because of dryness, so for those who wash their hair every day (like me), that would be a problem. Thanks for your response!

Hmmm that might be why my sister uses conditioner lol. I never really figured out why she uses it, cause her hair gets oily so easily, and yet tangles up just as easily Thanks for your response!

Yeah I'm like you, I prefer not to use conditioner also. It plays havoc on my hair when I'm drying it afterward, cause it makes me feel like I didn't wash it at all. Thanks for your response!

Aww that's normal for lots of people though. Most people that I know do use conditioner, even my sister, who really shouldn't be using it cause her hair is twice as oily as mine. Thanks for your response!

I do not use shampoo or conditioner.. I use dish soap and bodywash... or Yucca plant, and essential oils... My problem is I have seriously dry scalp but its also oily at the same time. So I need extra moisturize from the body wash to get the scalp moist.. but also need somethign seriously strong to cut the grease.. I of course do not recommend everyone to do as I do, as different hair types, skin types react differently I tend to have extremely thick skin... but that is because I love to spend alot of time outdoors in all weather.. is part of it. Yucca root however is perfect for my hair.. but my family all gets nervous about me using that so they do not let me use it... - DNatureofDTrain

Oh wow, it must really suck to have that kind of problem. I see it as more frustrating and annoying anyways. At least you found a way to conquer your problem, so that's good Thanks for your response!

we are opposite.I use a conditioner after my shampoo because without it,my hair is unmanageable, dry ,lifeless and limp. I guess it all depends on your hair type and on the conditioner you are using. have a nice day!

Yes, it does depend a lot on hair type. My hair isn't really that oily either, and actually could benefit from conditioner, but I just don't like to have to reorganize my hair every so often when I use conditioner because it keeps laying down too flat for my liking. Thanks for your response!
