Come across King Solomon's statement in Eccl 10:19. "A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things" How true! This world is really a "no money, no talk" world. If Solomon lives today, he will make a very good motivation speaker.

Dear Diansinta, all the rich people acknowledge the power of money. Of course they will not say that money can buy love. But they use money to buy things for their beloved. I develop this theme into a short article, one of the points I want to make is this: Love, the most powerful emotion in the world, has to be expressed through money. The only other powerful way of expressing love is sacrificing our lives. But that is hardly common. I mean, a mother will probably rush into the burning house to save her baby, but how often is that? Most likely, she will use her hard earned money to provide for her baby. If given a choice to be poor or rich, I rather be rich than poor.

Hi Diansinta, I want to be rich too. I guess by this time I have read more than a hundred books on the topic of getting rich. I have gained a lot and learnt that the only way to be rich is to invest in yourself. All of us are good in something that can make us rich. Even Warren Buffet knows his limit, he doesn't start a business because he doesn't the patience and the skill for the start up phase of a business. So he buy existing and profitable business instead. And he always refer to the wisdom of his teacher, Graham.

Very true indeed. Even though people say that money can't buy you everything - that may be true but money can be used to indirectly get what you really want. You want a good life? Go to a good school to earn a decent living. Or go learn on your own - living as a student isn't actually cost-free. If you want to live happy, then learn how to be happy! You'd still need money to actually live so that you can give yourself a chance to be happy! Thanks for the response on my discussion!
