Can you sell anything really quick? I live in a city where the internet is becoming a necessity but still far from the reach of most. Most people rely on cyber cafes that charge 1kenya shilling per minute (or 1.2 US cents)because they ncan't afford to have computers at home (let alone the internet) My special friend (can't call him a boyfriend yet) is a dealer for the biggest mobile and data network company this side of the Sahara(Kenya) called Safaricom. Safaricom recently introduced USB modems into the country that ideally should be affordable: $75. These are plug-and-play and are pre-paid, therefore the customer determines his/her usage. Since december we've only been able to sell abbout 300 pieces of these and we'd like to sell more but quicker. Now my special friend's dealership is highly recommended by Safaricom, infact he is on their top 10 of Safaricom's 400 dealers.His marketing strategy has worked very well on the different Safaricom products, but the USB modems are a really hard sell. Has anyone ever sold anything that was a hard sell, and sold it really quick? Any innovative ideas I (we) could use to sell our modems?
