Pinoy 'SOP' on guest performers : Why don't you just leave 'em alone to sing?

I'm just annoyed when I see the hosts of GMA7 SOP always sing with their guest making their guest as their backups. It's better to let their guest sing alone with their own rendition, no duets from the hosts at all. Most of the time, the hosts doesn't know the lyrics and right tune makin' it like a karaoke bar. I'm not sure if the hosts don't want to be left behind the limelight.
