A friend of mine working in a hotel shared that February 14 is one of their busiest days. And it's not just the hotel where he's working! According to him, Metro Manila's hotels, motels, inns, lodging house - whatever they are called - are always full every Valentines Day. What do you think fellow Filipino myLoters? Is it now becoming a tradition/practice to spend valentines day in a rented room?

Oh I guess it has become a tradition already in here. Although I am not a practitioner myself. But I guess there are a lot of things that you can do for that day not just renting a room for your valentines.

I prefer checking in during ordinary days. But yes, there are lots of things to do during Valentines Day rather than be seated on a hotel's/motel's waiting room while the mess man/woman cleans and prepares a room for you and your partner.

Due to budgetary and practical reason I prefer to be at hom with my wife and do the thing.

Not for my wife.. she doesnt want to celebrate Valentines until its over so that the day will be ours we will be going out a few days later than everyone else. Rather than going with the flow. The stopping out in rented accomodation is to do with getting away from your normal surroundings and making it a special day to remember for the rest of the year.
