Last night after dinner I decided I had a sweet tooth so I baked something from scratch. Not a really sweet treat but sweet enough for me. This is/was my 1st attempt making it from scratch. It was a loaf of Banana Bread. Photo attatched of it cooling on my rack. It called for nuts and chocolate chips but I passed them up just making plain Banana Bread. Gawd it was so tasty. My wife loved it as well. I have made Zuchinni Bread from scratch so I knew this would be a breeze for me. Yummy. When was the last time you baked a treat from scratch and not a mix? What was this treat?

I love banana bread. Ever time I go to the grocery store and they have the really ripe bananas for cheap for quick sale, I grab them and make homemade banana bread~ yum.
It has been a while since i have made something from scratch. It is diet time around here, so we are not having the sweets like we love to have.

Is banana bread bad for a diet? It doesn't have a lot of sugar etc.

Hey Grandpa Bob! How did you make that Banana Bread? It is
huge! I have never seen a banana bread that big in my life!
It looks so yummy! I have never made a banana bread from
scratch only banana cake. I love banana anything! How did
you make that? It is beautiful! I wish I could take a slice

Something from scratch? I don't remember. Heck at this point I don't even have time for the mixes. Between my 5 year old daughter, and 2 month old son, I couldn't even grab a shower yesterday. SCARY. I like banana bread w/o the nuts. And haven't had Zuchinni Bread in forever. I did have a sweet snack today. A Reeses peanut butter cup. Not even in the same class as B. bread. But it did the trick.

ith little ones showers are a night time ritual.
I learned that raising my 2 years ago.
A lot has to be done as they are in bed for the night.
I ate a few Hershey Kisses as well today.
Got to have my chocolate fix daily.

I hate using a mix. It is just not the same. I usually go through about 20 lbs of flour a month. I make biscuits, cookies, bread, donuts, etc. I love to bake. Congrats on the banana bread. It looks good enough to eat! =]

Hi GRANDPA BOB,
That look so delicious, I must admit, I can't bake thinks like that, I do cooking everyday and its drive me nuts, I just get fed up wit it.

I plan on making some coffee cake muffins, I have all the stuff that I need. I regularly make homemade cookies, my grandson is a cookie monster and I like to keep him supplied. Banana bread does sound good, its good plain, with butter and its also good with some cream cheese spread on it, yummy.

! have to make some apple muffins this fall as long as I get a good crop of apples this year. Made apple crisps last year was all as the crop was small and damaged.

Oh sounds yummy i wonder how bad that is for my diet lol. I make fresh bread on occasion as you know with my bread machine its easy and hunter loves it.

That sounds very good. Now don't call me stupid but since we only have our turkey and dressing once a year I would have to say the dressing. During the year we might have stove top stuffing at times but it is not the same as home made dressing.

For years I used tioo make my own stuffing as well from scratch. But Stove Top is so tasty I usually use theirs. But ever so often I will make the bread crumbs etc and make my own from scratch.

Yummy sounds delicious. I baked home made peanut butter cookies last month from scratch. 2 cups peanut butter, 2 cups sugar and 2 eggs. Great recipe for those on a gluten free diet.

I love banana bread. I usually make muffins instead of bread though. The more banana the moister the bread. I load up on bananas.
I have not made anything for a few weeks. I have been too busy with making toffee and toffee popcorn to bake.

I also have 6 mini loaf pans for maing persaonal sized little loafs. I sometimes make cupcakes as well but haven't done it with Banana bread as this is my 1st time from scratch. I did make zuchinni loaves in the mini loaf pans.

Oh grandpa bob that looks so good can ya send some this way? lol that is my favorite kind of bread to yumm!!! I haven't really done anything from scratch i have always taken the easy way out when it comes to treats that is in a box and all i have to do is mix it up and bake it. You did a fabulios job on it and it looks like really good.

The last thing I fixd from scratch was a Fresh Apple Cake. It was so yummmy!!!
I love banana bread too. I don't care for the boxed mixes unless I add bananas and nuts to them and it is just about as easy for me to just mak it from scratch. Looks good! Enjoy!

I have a couple of apple trees in my back yard that I use for making apple treats as well. All I've made so far is Apple Crumb Cake from scratch though. One year I'll bake some home made poies when I learn how to make dough from scratch. Hahaha!

I just love banana bread. The last time I made some was last month. I also make it out of scratch.When I make it I take a couple of loves to work for my coworkers, they all like my banana bread.
Lets see the last thing that I made out of scratch was last week when I made homemade cinnamon rolls. Man were they good.

i love banana bread w/nuts. don't think i'd like chocolate chips in it. i also make zuchinni bread. i add alot of things to it, cocanut, nuts, dates& i have put a banana in it. the last thing i made from scratch was pecan pies.

I love banana and zuchinni bread. Whenever I am in the Amish towns, I will stop and get one, they are sooooo good.
I have baked anything from scratch before, maybe one day I will make an attempt.
the last sweet treat I made was a frozen raspberry cream pie. There was no baking involved and it was very easy to do.

That sounds delicious. My mom made some bread with bananas and walnuts. And oh boy it tasted deilicous. Yummy in my mouth good. I never liked chocolate chip bread, it tastes so weird. My mom always like to make some kind of bread or cake out of any fruit around.

cool. i do like banana loaf bread i use to have baked them, but now im kind a busy so its been 5 months now since i baked one... now its easy to just make a brownies it less work to do. happy mylotting
