I have a 1 1/2yr old that only bits his older brother. When my husband or I tell him no or take things away he just cries. But when his brother does this he bites him. He doesnt go to daycare so he is not around it. How do you break them from this? Is this normal for sibilings? Anyone please help..

It is just frustration because he is too little to talk about how it makes him feel, just tell him no and remove him away from his brother keep doing it and it will stop maybe tell his brother not to take things from him aswell just to help stop this quicker.

The older one only takes stuff away if like I am out of the room and it is something little man should not have. I am lucky that he is not one that takes things away just to be mean.

Didnt think he was doing it to be mean, my eldest takes things from her sister that she shouldnt have my youngest plants her feet in the ground and screams like she is being murdered its uite frightening! It will pass though dont worry maybe though for the time being tell your elder son to shout you rather than remove things from his brother xx

Hi miccant, I was told once by a health visitor, that biting or at least a very young child like yours, going to bite is a warning to others because they can't verbally communicate yet and I think that's what you little one is doing with his sibling, warning him off.
