Today I marinated chicken in lemonade! I used a frozen lemonade concentrate and added 2 cups of water instead of 3, and marinaded the chicken for a few hours. Then I baked it in the oven. The result is very interesting. Not as sweet as I expected it to be, but there is definitly lemon flavor in the chicken, it's just not overpowering, which is a good thing!
Have you ever tried an interesting chicken marinade? How did it come out?

I have used Jack Daniel's marinades, but I prefer them on steak, pork or ribs.

hello katsmeow
what an interesting way to prepare chicken like that in frozen lemonade concentrate. i am going to try that sometime soon. it sounds really good. and i have used italian dressing in a bottle before already prepared for a marinade for my chicken. and it didn't turn out overpowering either with the flavor from the salad dressing. i have fixed that several times and it does taste better when you let the chicken soak in the marinade overnight. then as soon as i get up the morning, as soon as i can, i flip all of the pieces of chicken so that both sides gets marinated really good. one of my favorite ways to eat chicken is soak it in something. the chicken cooks up so tender i think when that it is marinated like that. and thanks so much for letting us all know around here at Mylot what that you used in marinating your chicken.
take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

I vaguely recall using Italian dressing once too as a marinade for chicken. Either as a marinade, or I put it in with chicken in the crockpot. I don't remember it getting any rave reviews at my dinner table though. I don't think hubby was overly fond of it, but he doesn't like Italian dressing anyways. I have to stick with juices.
I do like to cook pork chops in apple sauce. I put them in a shallow baking pan, then dump a can of frozen apple juice concentrate over them, no water. Then I bake them for about 20 minutes. They come out sort of sweet, and with a nice apple flavor. I love them with pork chops, but once served them with a boxed stuffing that I put apple juice into as well instead of water. That was a huge hit. I've been making the apple pork chops that way for years, and do it at least every couple months.

OMG I just noticed I misspoke. I said I love them with pork chops but once did a stuffing.... what I meant was I love them with mashed potatoes, OMG, no more typing when I'm tired, lol!

I use a lot of garlic in my marinade, pounded garlic that is. Also some lime or acid (except vinegar). I also add soysauce to my marinade and that makes my roasts more deliciously browned in color.

That sounds interesting. I don't normally marinate my chicken. Mostly because I don't know that I am going to be making chicken for dinner in enough time to toss it in some marinade. I did use this stuff called Bronco Bob's Roasted Red Raspberry Chipotle one time. It turned out pretty good.

I used to be that way too, and some days I still am, I just decide what dinner will be when I go into the kitchen to make it. But more often now I plan the meals out in advance. Since I do the shopping at the wholesale club, I'll buy like a large pork roast, and that will be 3 dinners for that week. So I plan it out so that we don't have all 3 pork dinners in a row. Then there are certain dinners that my husband will make, so I know that we're having those on his day off when he's home to cook dinner. So most of the time I can plan accordingly.

What I do is parboil it in soy sauce and water.
Its comes out easy to cook, a nice brown and you can use the water for chicken stock to make a nice soup.
