Are you one of the people who feel that if a cat crosses your path or gifting a knife, brings bad luck? What superstition do you believe in? Does it have any scientific explanation to why it started in the first place? Have you had incidents which has reinforced these beliefs? Thanks for the response:)

I am not superstitious. I "Knock on wood" but I don't really believe in it, its just something that gets me and my friends laughing about a bad situation that could happen that we hope doesn't. As for the black cat, I have never understood that. They are extremely common animals and its not their fault they are black. In their heart of hearts they might wish they were purple or something! Anything that I do that seems superstitious I am doing just for the fun of it. I don't mind others being superstitious and I won't aggravate them or anything, but I myself am not. Happy mylotting!

Actually I'm not superstitious person, It's only God knows our destiny and our journey to cross. It's in our hands what would be our Luck.

Hello,Nikky! Yes,I am superstitious, though I have no explanation to that.I believe in superstitious things because these have references in the religious scripts. And because I have faith in religion I must believe in these matters.thanx.

I'm not superstitious at all. I have been known to cross my fingers or to say that I will keep my fingers crossed, but I do it for fun. I hold no faith in it at all.

I think it would make for a very interesting empirical study. Perhaps it is one you can organize if you are able to obtain grants. If you are able to prove something empirically it would make for an interesting shift in the paranormal studies.
