Do you think it is easy to go to heaven? Life on earth is not easy..for example when we sit for exams..we need to study and work hard to achieve it. Personally, I think that its not easy to go to heaven..:) Princess

The Cross of Christ - This is the way to Heaven
I do not think it is hard to go to heaven. I do know there are a lot of different religions out there. I happen to be Christian so I believe that by accepting the blood that Christ shed on the cross is all I need to go to heaven. BUT!!!! and this is a BIG BUT, I believe I have to study to word to show myself approved, that by studying the Word it will increase and strengthen my faith in everything that was accomplished on the cross for me. I can't go to heaven by doing good, I can't work my way into heaven. All that was accomplished on the cross. That by accepting Christ, and Him living within me, I will slowly move away from my old life, such as choices I use to make that were detrimental to me and my future and so on. I think going to heaven is easy, living in this world and not allowing ourselves to be beat down by our past is what's hard. And that's why we need to study and read a little so we can keep ourselves built up in spirit and hope.

I happen to be a Christian too...its the main reason I asked this question. Many people out there think that its easy to go to heaven, but actually its not all that easy...we've got a lot of perfections we have to make with our life before we can meet Jesus in His kingdom. God has opened all the doors for us to enter, but its still our efforts and choices whether we want to step in and decide where we want to be in heaven.. :) Princess

I appreciate your thoughts on this subject and I would debate with you gently. From what I have gathered over the years through studying and prayer, the blood of Christ makes us perfect. When I was born again, accepted Him as my savior, that's what made me acceptable before God and gains my entrance into heaven. Jesus blood blots out my sin condition. When I stood up from the alter of repentance, I was born again, but still as ignorant to the things of God as I was when I went down on my knees. I was like a baby on milk. And sometimes I didn't have the sense to drink the milk, but I was still saved. I was saved because of what He did, not what I did. It was a growing process that has taken years, not days, weeks, or months. What I have learned over the years is that His ways and thoughts are definitely not my ways or thoughts. Everything I thought I knew in those early days proved to be just that, what I thought, there was no substance to my thoughts. One of the hardest things for me to do, and probably for others too, is to accept this gift of salvation as it is given, freely, there is no price, the price was paid, Jesus paid it on the cross. We are to work toward perfection in Christ, we are to strive to be as he is, loving, compassionate, patient and so on. But this doesn't earn our way into heaven, if we try to earn our way in, we are in fact stating that what Jesus did on the cross wasn't enough. I have learned that the compassion and mercy of God goes beyond any understanding that I may have. Again, I write this with a gentle attitude, I hope it doesn't come across mean or obnoxious. I would like to hear more of your thoughts on this subject unless you think it could bring us to negative odds, and I don't want to do that.

Not to worry..I actually find the discussion rather stimulating. I agree with you..and you've just proven my statement in fact..we still have to strive to be like Jesus and that is not an easy task..."narrow is the path to heaven" as quoted from the Holy Bible (it just came to mind); we need to stand by the grace of God..I'm really glad that we've actually had the opportunity to have such a privilege. Maybe I should have re-phrased my question...:). Well..we can't just do good but still have all our sins not forgiven and we have un-sanctified natures...that's why I said its not easy to go to heaven. Princess

Don't ever think so much for long.Life is fantastic,at different stages, you will make different. So treat everything and everybody seriously, though it is easy to go to heaven, may heaven is not a good place...

It is known that the enjoyment of life in our youthful ways is vanity. And trust me, heaven is a much wonderful place, it is why people who have seen such a place would not want to return back to earth..but this enters the realm of spirituality. Just a thought..don't be too short sighted.. ;) Princess

Hi princessgar ! There is no place called heaVEEN OR HELL.Its just how we feel. Its our attitude.Like if we are feeling happy then we enjoy the bliss of heaven. If we are in stress then we are in eternal hell. While attempting your exam if you were the sort who were regular in studies right from the beginning of the academic year then it will be an easy task for you. Have a nice time!

Hey there, thanx for your response. Well..I wasn't actually talking about life on earth..more of what happens when you leave this earth..:), I believe there is a heaven to go to..but do you think its easy to get there?? Probably, if we were regularly having a relationship with the living God, then it would be easy..?? Princess
