You like to watch Champions League on espn-star sports or Ten Sports?

I have been following UCL for over a decade now and in the recent years, Ten Sports somehow manage to get the broadcast rights and they fail to do justice to it. I feel their coverage is not half as good as ESPN-STAR. There is too much noise when the ball is kicked but the crowd volume is reduced all the time so sitting at home, you cannot get a feel of the atmosphere out there in the ground. I really wish that it changes soon and ESPN-STAR bag the rights of UCL forever. What do you feel?

You've definitely brought up a question worth discussing. But will it make a difference though? I really don't think so. They have the telecast rights of the tournament in the sub-continent until 2011-12 if my memory serves me right. So, its surely another three years of torture. Contacting them is of no use as they don't seem to bother. What irritates me further is that out friends in south east asia get coverage from ESPN-STAR while here in India its........lets not even talk about it. The anchor is no where close to John Dyks and the pre-post match shows aren't worth losing your sleep over. The pundits at ESPN may seem biased at times but their comments still do make sense. Coming to matches, I've noticed too that crowd noise is manipulated with once the match begins to make the commentary audiable........probably-----which ain't good either. The only thing that pleases me about their coverage is the fact that have an inclination towards united matches. But this has a flip side too. United matches are repeated thrice a day when they could actually show delayed feed of some other interesting matches. The list is seemingly endless but we'll probably have to put up for a few years before something's done.

Thanks for such a detailed response, Rahul I wonder why others could not take out time for it. May be they're too busy. You're true. We fans can do nothing more than make fruitless noises about it and the concerned people would not even bother about the quality as long as they are getting the money. I really hope they improve it sooner than later.
