I just wondered if anyone knows the implications of low blood pressure. I have a home monitor and whenever i take a reading my results are pretty low and it always struggles to find a pulse. (i am still alive...honest!!) wonder if i need to go see doctor or not?

Well for low blood pressure, gooseberry juice is very effective.

As a doctor I can tell you that low blood pressure as a disease is very very rare. If you don't have any symptoms like giddiness/weakness, there is no need to see a doc.

Do you feel sick? If not you don't have to see a doctor. Low blood pressure isn't that bad and I would say that monitors are not always that accurate. I don't trust the ones thay have at the doctors office nor hospital, since they tend to show a false result at least they do used on me. I prefer the old way with stetoscope insted - much better ;-) Take care

It wouldn't hurt to let your doctor check you out. If you don't to do that, go by any fire station, they should take your pressure for free. Like the other person wrote, home monitors can fail. I have one and use it, but I still rely on my doctor to keep tabs on me. If your pressure gets to low you will feel real tired and fatigued.
