What stuff do you always bring with you in your bag?

My husband teases me that I always bring a big shoulder bag. My bag is full of girly stuff, lipstick, powder, hairbrush, toothbrush, cologne, my wallet, cellphone, umbrella, old receipts and other rubbish, breath mints, ipod. What does your purse/bag contains? I believe men almost always can leave home not bringing any bags but for the ladies, its a must.

a cell phone, wallet and a wet tissue... if something awful happened, either of those three things could help you =)

I tend to travel light. I have my purse, phone, comb, some perfume or spray, my house keys, my locker key for my main job, pub work keys (if I need them that day) Men can travel light, all my boyf takes with him is his money, his keys for work, swipe card for work and his phone. He doesnt have a wallet, he doesnt like to use them. I dont like to go out with a really big bag, as I dont take alot out with me. I'd rather have a bag that is small enough to fit in what I need.

I always bring along with me my backpack. What's inside? Oo, my raincoat of course, hahaAs I mostly travel by bike, that's what I normally have in my bag plus a receipt book, my company chop + stamp pad, pen, name card. I guess that's about all? I think it's time for me to fix a box behind my bike so I can just dump my rain coat back there & keep my helmet as well, haha

hahaha yup i think the box at the back of the bike would be a good place to keep your raincoat instead of always having it in your backpack.

I don't carry a purse or bag. EVerything I need I carry in a pocket. The only time I carry a purse is if I dress up to go somewhere and then I have 2 or 3 small purses that I throw my identification, money and other cards and such into. I hate being bothered with a purse and just try to buy clothing that has pockets. During the colder months, I usually wear jeans, so no problem. Most of the warmer months, I wear capris, and most of them have pockets, too.

good thing everything could fit into your pocket. i have so much stuff that even if i have the pocket of a kangaroo it won't fit in :)

I have a big shoulder bag, except that mine is full of medications for my asthma, pain, and school supplies. At the end of the week my BF will pick up my purse and nearly get a hernia from how much it weighs. I would love to be able to carry one of those delicate small "girly" purses that I see other women carry. I also have my planner for various appointments etc. Men figure that they don't need to carry a bag for their stuff that they don't carry, as the women carry it for them!

"...nearly get a hernia" this really made me laugh. i could imagine how heavy your bag is!

i have my comb, my toothbrush, a small tube of toothpaste, my compact, cologne, a lipstick (which i seldom use), cheek tint (which could also be a lip tint that's why i don't use my lipstick often), my cell phone, my wallet and the pepper spray that my boyfriend gave me. = ) sometimes even my boyfriend wonders how i seem to have everything at hand. one time he spilled some sauce on his shirt, i took out a stain-remover towel. all i can say is, "well we ladies come in prepared." = )

yes, it's a very small towel though. it's the size of 2 sugar packets from starbucks put side by side. very handy and very useful.

Hey, don't say men can leave home without any bag. It is impossible not to bring any bag with when you're going out nowadays, i think. I always bring my bag wherever i go. In my bag, there's personal book, a pen and a diary (these three items are very important) Other items are according to the occasion. Why? Because for personal book, whenever i go to the cybercafe, i always want to find some valuable, important info from the internet. So basically i would copy the address, what and how to do, and other info relevant into my personal book. As for pen. I need it for writing. Diary is for recording any important event and to do list.

I don't know but I don't feel comfortable If I don't carry my cosmetics-for retouch, a hanky, tissue, scarf (in case I decided to go to some place cold before going home)of course my cellphone,Filofax, gum, and ipod.

Haha my boyfriend teases me about that all the time! I got this big old leather purse I cart around. It's so heavy the one strap got stretched out from my carrying it on one shoulder! In my purse, I carry: 10 different lipglosses, powder, checkbook, wallet, small rolodex, flashlight, tissues, ipod, ibuprofen, zicam pills, cell phone, mints, gum, hairbrush, pliers, library card on a keychain, girly stuff ;). I'm so jealous of guys getting to cart everything they need in one pocket!!
• Philippines
13 Feb 09
wow 10 lipglosses! hahaha such a girl :) and the pliers and flashlight are not usually found in a girl's bag. you've got loads of stuff in there.

As a man I also have a little bag where I bring the essentials such as an umbrella (since the weather here could be unpredictable at times), my comb, candy, a few coins too and my deck of cards (so that I'll be prepared to show a trick or two to people.

I'm not a "normal" women.I don't really like to carry stuff with me.All I need is my money and card.If I can put everything in my pockets, than I'll do so. If I have to carry keys (I work in more than one places, and I have many lots of keys), than I'll carry them in my purse. So, when you see me carrying a purse, I'll have in it my ID, money and cards, keys, and a small bottle of Advil and Tums, just in case. And a band-aid. And coupons, bcause you never know what sale you'll find. That's more or less. And my purse is bery small, and I carry it on my shoulder, so it'll take as less as possible from my movements and leave my hands free.

oh you shift from one bag to another. i'm too lazy to do that and i even contemplated too of putting the same stuff on each of them instead of transferring my bag's content whenever i use another bag.
