Getting Fitted For My Hearing Aids Today

yet again.... I'm going to the company to have ear molds made for my new hearing aids. The first ones where damaged some how in the wait for the new tax return so I have to go today to get fitted again so it'll be a few days longer before I get them. Whew! This has been some work getting these things but it'll be well worth it in the end.... once I get them! lol Then when I get back home, I'm painting our main bathroom. I got all of the wallpaper down (I didn't put up) and hubby and I primed it yesterday and today I'm going to paint. I can't wait to put it all together because it's going to look really nice! You see, when we first bought this house, I didn't like the decor in that bathroom but hubby did so I left it alone and painted the rest of the house, which is A LOT of painting. Now a little over two years later, it's time for a change and hubby agreed. So I took all the seascape scenery down and now I'm going to decorate it my way which is, we found a gorgeous shower curtain at walmart for only $10.! It's solid white, sheer like with three rows of vine like flowers and it's made with ribbon type of material. Kind of 3-D but not quite. It's just so pretty! I got a shower curtain liner so it won't be see through. Then I got a soap dispenser, toothpaste holder and a cup that looks like crystal like but it's not, it's plastic. I'm going to get some rose colored rugs to go with it. The walls are going to match one of the flowers which is either, purplish blue or if you turn it another way, it looks like a smoky blue. It's weird but very pretty. I hope what I have in mind does work and all the colors are pulled together. I will post a picture as soon as I'm finished but it's going to be so much fun putting it all together once I finish painting!! Yippee!! lol Hubby is going to TRY to finish the deck out back today.... if the weather allows him to. It's been so windy here for two days. Last night it rained but he covered the deck so the rain couldn't get it wet again and we'd have to wait for it to dry. Again, we have a number of projects going on.... we're tackling it!! lol We'll probably be old and grey by the time we finish it all!! LOL

I most certainly will!! I promise!! It is going to look right nice and I'm soooo happy to finally get rid of the seashore theme, I hated it because it was right LOUD!! lol Turquise mixed with white wallpaper and seashells at the top and then the yellow window and shower curtain YIKES!! I endured it for a little over 2 years because hubby liked it and now it's MY turn!! lol Oh I can imagine what you're going through with your hubby!! Is he calling you every 5 minutes, so it seems and #!%* in your ear? Like you can do something about it? Look at my response above, you're going to get a eye popping and then a laugh at that one! lol

Hey!! I just checked your star and you've come up another point!! AWESOME!! lol See? I'm working on it!! And I'm LOVING it too!! Send your hubby on down here!! Free is a GREAT estimate!! roflmbo! If he wants to do it, he's more than welcome! But I doubt he will but if he does, come on! Yes MY home for a change!! Since hubby got most of his inheritance, we've been able to do these things. It's not a lot but hey, something better than nothing and it sure has helped us a GREAT deal! It got us out of debt and we bought an ATV at a steal of a price! and we're doing all these things that have been needed for the longest time but haven't had the money and didn't want to go further into debt so we waited. Eventually we'll get it all done, it's going to take some time to save up for this and that but hopefully by the end of this year, we'll have it all or most of it done. It'll be sooooo nice to have everything up and running once again and to add the things we want to add to bring out the beauty of it or for comfort reasons...... what ever the reason!! lol

LOL. My hubs is right close to the border right now, so I should just send him on down to you and he can put your pipes in for free. I'm sure he'd be up for that idea after the week he's had up here! LOL Sounds like you're going to be busy Cats, but you know, I'm glad that it's your own home for a change........I look forward to photos of the progress and end results of all your projects. I should send you some of mine..........

I actually like the idea of a seascape bathroom. I have some fishy stencils so i might have a go at doing my laundry in a seascape...the walls are a soft lime green now so if i paint the stencils with a dark blue wash I think it will work...I can have shadows of colour like purple, emerald, ruby and topaz in the same shade as the blue. Anyway, my bathroom is pink and white with grey accents. It all matches and it's the first time I've ever had a decent looking bathroom....even the bath is pink. I can't wait to see your photos!

You know, I had a sea shell theme when we lived in Texas and it was right pretty because it was in soft colors but this one was screaming loud with the bright yellow window and shower curtains and turquise wallpaper that looked smeared with white, I don't know what the pattern is called but it's turquise here and then a lighter turquise and smears of white everywhere. It would knock a person over but hubby loves bright colors as well as dark colors so he loved it so I let it stay for his enjoyment before we decided to change it to more softer colors. I wish you luck in your decorating!! LOL I promise, I'll put a picture up once I'm finished.

Hi Cats, its so nice seeing a post from you that is good news and upbeat. I am so happy for you. I have lots of projects too that I need to get busy with. I am a few states over and up, its been really windy here. Last night the wind was really bad, gust up to 50 and 60. Its supposed to settle down some and its back to being cold again. They are talking about some more snow this weekend. We have been being dumped on this year, we finally got rid of it. I know we still have some winter left, I am so looking forward to Spring. Have fun decorating, looking forward to seeing a pic of the finished product.

It's the same way here too!! It's soooo windy that I told hubby that we're taking his truck to the appointment because my little ole tracker would be blown all over the road and I'm not taking any chances! We want to trade my car in for something a little bit heavier and safer but yet good on gas miliage. We haven't decided what to look for just yet. I get my hearing aids about this time next week or a few days after!! I'm soooo excited!! I'm getting exactly what I want too!! You see, there's digital and analog. The manufacters are doing away with analog but there's one that still makes them and are going to be making mine. Mine will have the wire that goes under my hair, like my last ones were so it can transmit the sound on my left side to my right aid so I won't miss anything! lol Plus they're giving me a new phone, an alarm clock that vibrates and a door bell with motion sensor.... there's more but I can't remember it all but FINALLY!! There's help out there!! Yes!!!! I'm just over the moon!! lol

I'm glad they are coming. It is sad that you have to wait, but they are coming. It sounds like your room will turn out very nice. Hope you can work on the deck, but if it is anything like here, it is still too windy.

It's awfully windy here too so I doubt hubby will be able to work on it today either but just as well because he's run to town to do some shopping for me. He loves to shop whereas I hate it with a passion so he does most of it. I know, being a woman, I should love to shop but I don't, I dispise it with a passion. lol My mom told my brother and I that he should've been born a girl and I should've been a boy. lol I get my hearing aids about this time next week or a few days after!! I'm really excited!! I'm getting exactly what I want too!! You see, there's digital and analog. Geez! I'm tired already just from READING what you'll be doing! LOL! Those hearing aids will definitely be worth all that effort and waiting. And I can't wait to see what your bathroom is going to look like. It sounds absolutely gorgeous, especially that color you talked about. I think my mother in law used to have her bathroom that color and it looked really nice. Now don't go wearing yourself out before getting your hearing aids. LOL

LOL I love to stay busy as long as it's productive and rewarding in some way. I hate sitting for long periods of time, I get antsy and have to move around. We just got our land surveyed and found out we have A LOT more land that we first thought so it'll be at least 2 years before we get it all cleaned up looking nice so we'll have that to do this summer, all summer long when we feel like doing it. We want to put a bathroom upstairs and are looking around for estimates for a plumber to put in the pipes, hubby can do the rest. Last night, hubby put the last of the 3 new counter tops in and they all look fantastic!! We still need the master bathroom counter and kitchen counter to do and will be done sometime in the Spring or this summer. The deck, well, when ever we're able to get to it again. Right now it's too windy. My dad is coming out next week sometime to grade our driveway and then we're going to order a load of gravel for we need it some kind of bad! And we've got to get an estimate on refinishing our wood floors because they need it some kind of bad! lol We're thinking of replacing the carpet in the living room and our bedroom because we hate it. It's one solid color and shows all the lint and dirt and what ever else that lands on it. I could go on and on and on for it's never ending!! lol Some of the stuff, we'll have to save up for because we agreed, we're not going into debt anymore IF we can help it. Anyway..... I get my hearing aids about this time next week or a few days after!! I'm soooo excited!! I'm getting exactly what I want too!! You see, there's digital and analog. Hey cats! Sounds like you're in better spirits! That's great! And you're getting things done which is fun too! The bathroom sounds like it is going to be really cool! Can't wait to see it all finished! I like the color scheme! I love to re-decorate! I'm still doing a few more things in my apartment too! I took another break, but I'm going to start again so that I can get it all done soon! Glad to hear that everything is working out well for you and that you will be getting your hearing aids soon!

I'm taking a break from painting..... whew! What a job it is!! lol I'm doing the trim area of the wall. Hubby can't do it or he'll have it all over the trim work! lol He does the rolling. We have soooo many projects this summer and I bet we don't get it all done. As long as we're alive, we'll have something to do! lol We just got our land surveyed and found out we have A LOT more land that we first thought so it'll be at least 2 years before we get it all cleaned up looking nice so we'll have that to do this summer, all summer long when we feel like doing it.
