Are you organized

Do you consider yourself to be organized? Growing up I was the furthest thing from organized by room was a mess, (but i knew where everything was!) but it had clothes on the floor school work laying here there and everywhere. Just a mess. But now that I am older and I have a family and house of my own, I am very organized. It was a little bit of a concious effort in the beggining, i started decluttering and not thinking of everything as special lol. But once that was done i went full force into being organized and now i cant stop. Everything has to have a place, my sons room is labeled and everything has a place it has to be (he puts his things away on his own!!) So I have experience with both being organized and not organized, and i find that being organized is the best way to be. I can find things easier and i find that i can relax without looking around and seeing all thing things that dont have a place...i cant relax when there are all these things lying there with no where to go lol. So are you organized of disorganized....what do you think works better for you?

Same as you, I was every bit unorganized and lazy as a kid and teenager. My mom was always after me to clean up my things and I do think that got me all the more irritated about cleaning up. However, now that I have a family and the responsibility is all mine, I do try my best to keep the house in order. However, I don’t stress out myself too much on that. After all I have the office and the house and the kid to juggle so I have rather prioritized my chores…those that just have to be done daily are done and those which can be organized on a weekly basis are done on the weekends when I don’t have office. Let’s say I am just managing along.

I could say that I am an organized person and I agree with you that being organized is the best way to have an easy and happy life. I hate to see mess and as much as possible I clean them before I get irritated. My husband loves to put things anywhere he could easily see them and I disagree with that. Good thing we don't argue because all those things he owns even though they are mess for me are located in single place. So they won't bother me and the floor if they are just scattered anywhere in the house. I have a 4 and a half months old son and I promised to myself that I will teach him to become organize in everything or at least his own things. I agree that when things are organized it will be easier to find what you need and it also means that your mind can easily process information on to where you can find a certain item.

I am not organized, but that is on the top of my list to do. I have to get myself, my home, and my office organized. I need to have things in their place so i can find them. and once i get rid of the clutter i can clear my mind. and the clearer my mind is, the more open it will be to new thoughts and ideas.

I thought I was. And then 2 months ago, right before Christmas I had a baby. I have a 5 year old daughter. So things were in place. Now I feel like I cannot find my butt with both hands! I am able to get to things now about once a week. It'll get easier when I am not so sleep deprived. Organized is BETTER!

Being a teenager, I was more organized than a typical person of my age should be. Still, I would put myself in "unorganized" category. But all that changed four years ago when I went to the University hostel to pursue my engineering degree. There I was on my own, I had to look after myself, my room and arrange everything. It was an amazing experience and I became more mature and organized after that. I can never thank my parents enough for that.

Most of the time I am pretty organized. I do have days where I can't tell poo from applebutter but I think everyone has those days. I am the finder of all in his house, because my son is always misplacing something, my husband can never put his keys in the same place twice, and my daughter loves to run off with things and hide them. She loved hiding the remote when she get's her hands on it. Before we had children, I always had everything it it's place, but now, for the most part everything has it's own place, but there are times it get's moved, usually by my daughter, lol. Children have disorganized me!

You know, we came through the same walks of life! I was once unorganized when I was very much younger. I used to keep my room a huge mess. My closet was like a tornado. When you go to walk into my closet, you could not even get in there. I had clothes that were buried deep. Six feet deep! But as I had gotten older, I started to begin to very neat. Now, I am very organized. I have to have things cleaned up, if not, I will be in a rush and my pace will be very hectic! So from now on, I am very careful about being messy. When I do get messy, I will make sure that I clean up to keep from being unorganized. I was never this way when I was much younger... But for some reason, I am now very clean.. Everyone admires me for my cleanliness. If I could be a maid, I would make a great one, but due to back problems, I am unable to be one.. I was like you once... I was so unorganized, everything was all about, I could not find anything.. It was a big confusion.. But now, I am at ease.. I would rather be neat than messy, it makes my life so much more easy!

I have always been very organized and disciplined. Thanks to my parents who culminated this habit into me.From my childhood i used to keep my things in order and at correct places. Even after growing up and married with a son,i manage my things satisfactorily and make sure not to clutter anything.Though my husband is not very organized but he is adapting himself accordingly and is doing great. I hope my son also inherits the same quality from his grandparents and parents. Happy mylotting.

I'm an organized person...eversince I was a kid I see to it that my things are in proper order, I don't like to see my things scattered around because it really afects my mood, I'll get easily distracted and I couldn't focus if I need to study...being orgainized is much better for me because I am not also having a hard time finding my things and it is just a discipline I want to do for the rest of my life.

It is said that cleanliness is next to Godliness thus being organized is part and parcel of it. Being able to get something and return to its proper place gives me a good feeling. Seeing the house well done and everything in proper places makes me feel at ease and inspires me to do more despite of hectic works in the school. It's true that starting it is quite difficult but when you are already used to it and everybody in the household cooperates then the effort is really worth rewarding.
