I'm a first-time parent, and my daughter is nearly 19mos.
I have no idea what the signs are for potty training..
So please, give me some insight!

Hello
Try watching how often she is wetting her diaper. They say that when a toddler is able to control their bladder for longer periods of time it is time to start training. Like check and see if she is going mainly after eating a meal...try to see if there is a time pattern, then when you start training you will be able to use the pattern to achieve success.
They also say to see if thier bladders are slowing down at night. Check them when they first wake up if they are not wet yet...chances are their bladders have adjusted to slowing down at night time. However you will have to check immediatly or even a little before they wake up.
You can also try letting her join you when you go to the bathroom, this will make it seem not as scary and overwhelming, get her a potty and let her try. When she starts showing interest in the potty then you should start training her.
Hope some of this will help you. Listen and watch her she will be giving you the signs you just have to encourage her and it will come!
