Are trampolines safe for children?

Would you let them play on one without the safety net?

Trampolines are very dangerous and I wouldn't risk letting my kid get hurt. My step-dad works as a paramedic and has run calls with people who landed wrong on a trampoline. They can get really messed up.

My children have one, but we ALSO have the net.

No they are not safe....my son was using one when he was younger and bounce wrong and hit right on his mouth...he actually left a tooth imbedded in the metal...his face was torn up, and of course an emergency trip to the dentist was not fun!...he's never gotten on one again

Oh no...was this with or without the safety net? Does the safety net make a difference or should kids just not be allowed on them?

well, unfortunately this was before safety nets..but in my opinion it's still just a net..it can give and kids can still get hurt.

They can be if used right, and have the safety, but I don't like them, I got hurt on them alot when I was younger.

No! We had one given to use by our neighbor who's daughter no longer wanted. But it did not have a safely net. My children were not allowed to go on it until we purchased and net. AND I gave them the rules including only one child on at a time. Trampolines are not safe but under controlled situations, it can be.

We have one and I DEFINITELY have a safety net...bought it the same time I bought the trampoline.

I don't know but they are pretty fun even at my age but I have to stop all the time to catch my breath
