A few questions about associated content

At one time I signed up for this site and recently tried submitting things to the site. I haven't gotten a response to an email I sent to them. It's been a few days since I submitted them and they still say submitted, at one point one said incomplete but I refreshed and it was gone, back to the status "submitted". The things I submitted were stories, and I am wondering if Associated Content is a good site for submitting stories or if I should just go to helium, another site that I have an account with. What would you suggest?

If you submitted for upfront, I doubt it'll get approved at all. You might as well have published it as "paid only" , which is automatic (as long as you have already at least 3 published articles). Anyways approval can take up to two weeks. Submitting for Helium is a possibility. True, stories won't get you any of the special bonuses, nor will they help or hurt your writing stars, but at least it's automatic and there's always shared revenue. Some people claim Triond is better for creative writing, but from my personal experience it isn't (but then again I never wrote stories, only poems and education-related opinion pieces)

I did have something before but deleted it so I'm going through the whole wait process again. I guess it doesn't really matter, I'll wait.
