will they? No matter how hard they try they will always say, should I be a career woman, or a mom. Should I try to do both? Am I satisfied with my career or do I need children? Do not the questions answer themselves. Have you ever heard the phrase career man?

This is a very stupid discussion. What women have men do not have, what men have women do not have. Both are unique and are required for a balanced life. Why behave arrogantly regarding this issue. For you to come to this world both a mother and a father are required.

This will have to depend whether which one you prefer to be. Not only women are like that, even men are the same. If the husband is a workaholic then chances are that he also would not be able to become a good husband or daddy. So as to conclude, this is a matter of individual choice, whether you want to commit yourself to which side, but of course, most parents would choose to be on the career field as they believe that that is the way to get the best things for their children.

I really don't see what women chossing to do with their lives has to do with us being unequal to men in anyway. It's a helluvalot tougher to give birth and raise children than it is to get someone pregnant then not help with the children and simply have a job and bring home money. IMO anyway. And what about single mothers? I have 2 freinds who are now single moms raising their children and working to support them. Now tell me that those women who live like that are any less than a "man"?

equal - equal
Equal? Who would want to be equal when we are already superior? What does having children have to do with women being lower than men in your opinion? You are correct in that we do have more important choices to make in life. But I think someone who can keep up with rambunctious kids and cook and clean and maybe even have a successful career is far superior to the man who comes home after a day at "work" and sits on his*** all night. I think this question comes from not having any positive female role models in your life. If you were to see a woman go through her balancing act every day and remain sane you wouldn't even have asked this question

I think each woman has to decide for herself what she wants to accomplish and what she will be happy with.

I think it takes time for things in society to change. There have been a lot of changes in people's perceptions in the last century, and I think this will continue. For the present, each person should do what will work best for themselves. The whole point of the women's movement has been so that women will have choices and opportunities.

I think every woman will have different ideas about this issue. Some choose their family, others choose their career
