What do you like to paint?

For example, I like to paint a variety of subject matter, but primarily imaginary trees. Some artists like to paint landscapes; others like to paint still-lifes. Some artists enjoy painting portraits and others like to paint animals, etc., etc. What do you like to paint?

I like painting abstractions of figures, and completely non-objective paintings. As much as I experiment painting all kinds of subjects, I always go back to abstract painting

I used to paint landscapes and sceneries but I find it very difficult to think over it of what a good scenery would be. Usually it has or it must have a body of water. IN animals, I'm more on to birds because of their bright and elegant colors. After that, I'm on to charcoal painting like still life but I'm more on portrait cause it's easier for me and the faces, angles and expressions are far different to each other, so it's not that hard for me to think over it.

I'd love to learn to paint...probably in water colors b/c of the easier cleanup. I'd probably like painting animals, ocean scenes and scenes from books and movies. I also always liked watching Bob Ross paint. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Usually if I paint, I would paint scenery! That's easier for me because I am not good at drawing animals at all, nor people.

I like to paint abstractions. I think about things or look at them and then proceed to paint my response to what I am thinking about. I am presently working on a series of paintings based on my response to the present news about the world economy. How do you approach painting "imaginary trees" ? This sounds interesting.

Thanks so much for your response. :) It is very interesting to hear about your approach to painting abstractions. I basically paint exactly what I want to paint in accordance with how I feel. I don't plan ahead, regarding my trees. However color plays an important role in my artwork. I wish I could better describe my process at the present time; this is something I will have to work on. ;)

I like to paint landscapes, in bright colors. I love new mexico and the lay of the land there. I never paint landscapes to look totally real. I like to abstract the picture some, by use of color and design. I also like to draw people. I have always had a passion for this. I will not do it for money, too much stress on my part. I like to do people I find interesting, with a lot of charater.
