I had just made myself a cup of coffee when I heard the morning paper drop through the letter box. I went and got the paper, picked up my coffee and went to sit in my recliner to read he paper and drink my coffee before my husband got up. There on the front page of the Sun was this small baby-faced boy with a baby dressed in pink and white stipes. OMG - it was his child, concieved when he was just 12 years old with his 15 year old girlfriend. What is this world coming to - I guess this baby, beautiful as she is will be just one more drain on the already over burdened taxpayers. You can see this in the Sun www.thesun.co.uk/news

I really think there's something untold.... I mean a child of 12 years how could he possibly think about doing what he has to do to get a baby?? it's just plain crazy I think the girl forced him or something

It is sad when babies are having babies. I was young when I had my first child but not quite that young. I was 18. I was married and had a job as well. Who is going to take care of this baby and her parents? This is really sad. I would just about bet that they get bored with the child and one of the grandparents will wind up raising it.

ERRRRRR.... Ok had to start there. I'm better now. I have been telling people about how many children are sexually active these days. I know girls 12 and 13 years old who have far more experience then there counter part boys. Guess this story just taught me that little boys are as scary as little girls. I'm really want to know how children that young can raise children. I know most parents will help but still. Life as children for those kids, is over. There is no going back after you give birth, after you have to deal with telling your parents what you've done, and now what? This makes me very sad.

This is such a sad tale indeed. I'm not sure how things are over there, but we have quite a bit here in the US of young parents-I think more then any other country. I suppose on one part we all know the body is physically capable of reproducing, but in our society children are not ready by that age because of how much our society has changed. A hundred years ago, two hundred years ago children were young adults by this age and moving on to their own land, etc. Today? Today they are playing video games, talking on the computer, and just not mentally ready for the pressures that parenthood brings. I would hope though that for the sake of this new life that the parents of these youngsters would be supportive and help them to raise the child properly. I do not think that any child, however they were brought into this world, should be seen as drain to the society. It is a life, and should be respected for the life that it is. Namaste-Anora
