Anyone know why they kept switching Becky on Roseanne?

they started out with one then a couple of seasons switched then went a couple of seasons switched back for a few episodes then went back to the 2nd one.. wtf?!?! anyone know what the deal was with this? i liked the 2nd becky better but i hate it when they replace original cast members in shows!! what ever happened to the original becky? has she even done anything since roseanne?

I just read here:
That They kept changing because #1 Becky (Lecy Goranson) originally left to go to college, Becky #2 joined the cast (Sarah Chalke)thinking it was the last season and when Rosanne decided to do a season 9, she couldn't' commit so they brought Lecy Goranson back for the role.
Really Lecy Goranson was the better Becky.
I actually saw a Rosanne from season 9 yesterday ()Halloween episode) where Sarah Chalke made a cameo. The Conners were telling here how nice she was and saying how they wished they had a daughter like here LOL

awesome thanks!! although i could have sworn SC was on more than 1 season though!! guess my time line must be messed up especially since they had a season or so with out becky..
yeah i loved it when they did that cameo and then a couple of days ago i saw where lecy came back and they were like "where the hell have you been?" lol

I like the first Becky better, probably because I saw her first and got used to her. I get confused when they switch.
I heard the first Becky had to go to college though or something, and I guess I can respect that. But still I wish she had stayed to finish the show. Although, then it might still be going and she'd never have gotten to go to college.
