Astrology. An Art or a Science

Can anyone throw some light on this. I was quite amazed when I had my palm read and what was read was quite realistic which got me positive on the subject of astrology. However, if people swear by this as an art,science and a very real subject, why cant they predict issues like death, so that people can be more careful especially if it is going to be accidental.
