How to know if it's a scam or not?

I was offered a job as virtual assistant. However, I am still doubtful because the job requires a training (which I understand) but in order to get the online training, I need to pay first and this is where my eyebrows raised. This is my first time being offered a job like this like a freelance. Anyone here got into this type of job but was really legitimate?

whenever they ask for money up front a "red flag" should go up...you should goggle this company and see if there are complaints about this company scamming people,in my opinon it sounds like a scam most of these so-called work from home jobs especially the ones that ask for a fee are usually always scams...

Be careful insurectus because there are lots of scams online. And how will you pay? By using your credit card? It's not advisable. In some companies, they will pay you while you are being trained since it will be part of your job with them in the future. Think about it carefully and I know there are other companies out there that will be needing your talent/
