have you ever been conned

Well now I'm more wary and alert to all the telemarketing type scams that are out there. I once did an article for Associated Content as there is one big scam from any phone number using the 876 area code. They pose as either being from FedEx, and will leave a message saying to call back. So thinking it was the legitimate FedEx I did call back...NOT realizing that the 876 number wasn't toll free and this number had nothing to do with FedEx...I later found out about his scam on the internet listing...seems the 876 area code is from Jamaica....they try to get you to talk on the phone as long as possible so they rack up a lot of money and charge you on your phone bill. I eventually got it straightened out and was refunded the money charged...Another scam...any telemarketer using the 866 phone number is also a scam...plan to do an article about that soon.
